Twenty years since the death of the late The Notorious B.I.G rapper from Brooklyn his estranged wife Faith Evans is set to release an duet album with newly recorded materiel and some old rhymes many fans are familiar with.
This album is set to drop May 19th. Most Biggie fans will remember the very moment the Brooklyn MC
and the vocalist met, they met on the set of a photo and eve since then spark have flown as the two would be seen in public together at fights and other events.
The two were label mates signed to the Bad Boy label and worked on numerous projects together
one being "Gimmie One More Chance" and now Faith Evans has released two new tracks from the upcoming project "When We Party" feat the Long Beach Cali rapper Snoop Dogg and "NYC" feat Jada KIss.
Many artist are set to make a guest appearance on "The King And I" album along with faith Evans musical acts stemming from Busta Rhymes, to Sheek Louch, Lil Kim, long time friend Lil Cease, and Legendary Styles P.
This project will include well known tracks as well as unheard of rhymes from the legendary Brooklyn Bad Boy with over twenty new tracks.
Faith Evans: "I remember telling Ms. Wallace [the rapper's mother] years ago that one day it would be really dope if I could do something similar to Natalie and Nat King Cole's Unforgettable," Evans said in a statement. "Knowing the love that B.I.G. had for Tyanna [his daughter] & Ceejay [his son by Evans], I feel it's my duty to uphold and extend his legacy, especially his musical contributions."
"This project is my creative reflection of the love we had and the bond we will always have," she added. "I'm elated to share this musical journey with our fans!"
